| Title: | The Change of Concern in New Testament Scholarship in the First Half of the Twentieth Century |
| Author: | Watts, A. M. |
| Abstract: | The Christian religion is grounded in something given. Christian faith has its origin not in general religious experience, not in some particular esoteric mysticism, not in dogma but in a particular series of events in history. The Church knows that she is founded upon the "foundation of the Apostles and Prophets," who point beyond themselves to a "revelation" which has taken place in and through history. The Church, therefore, is founded upon the message of the Bible. |
