Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Centred Prairie Communities Series

The Prairie Centre was one of five Centres of Excellence for Children's Well-Being funded by Health Canada. This research program was administered at the Institute of Urban Studies between 2001 and 2003. The Centre focused on the opportunities and challenges urban Prairie communities, especially Aboriginal communities, experience in supporting the healthy development of their children and youth. The program funded community-based research in Winnipeg; the documents emerging from these diverse research projects are now available for free on our website.
